The introductory chapters give relative valuations of South African, British and French sires, based on the winnings of their progeny." 2 pp of photographs + 272 pp of text, tables and index, all on art paper. The original beige cloth-boards, black lettered to the upper panel and spine, are unrubbed and very good despite a small stain to the back. The binding has cracked at both endpapers and is now loose, though still attached. This remains a good clean copy with no other defects.
