VINTAGE PIERCED METAL DESIGN SILVER PLATED BON BON DISH WITH PEDESTAL STAND

With a gently scalloped rim added to a Pierced Metal pattern along the sides, standing upon a Victorian Pedestal, this Silver Plated Bon Bon/Candy display Dish is absolutely LOVELY and adds HUGE ornamental value when becoming part of your homes decor

The Dish is UNIQUELY stamped in 2 different places with 2 separate manufacturers marks, and from what I can tell these two manufactures have not only never been affiliated but are in separate countries also. On the underside of the rim is stamped "EMESS , SP on B" and although age has faded the stamp it is visible in Lighted conditions. The 2nd Stamp occurs close to where the Pedestal joins the Dish underneath.. -- "VIKING PLATE, Made in Canada, EP Copper"

"EMESS Silverware (Pty) Ltd is an entity registered at Westchester county (New York) - Current Status of the Company is INACTIVE since 1987". The "EMESS " stamp on the Dish indicates Silver Plate on BRASS and NOT copper

"VIKING PLATE" is 20th C trademark of Lipman - Levinter industries. Situated in Toronto, Ontario, Canada" The "VIKING PLATE" stamp clearly indicates Silver Plate on COPPER

Rather confusing since the Dish and Pedestal are solidly attached and BOTH stamps occur Underneath the DISH.

COPPER or BRASS ??

Except for age related vintage patina which should be polished , the item is in PERFECT condition with NO damages, rust or breakages
