FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION, I AM OFFERING THIS GORGEOUS LARGE POSSIBLY 1920S BACCARAT PIECE. NO MAKERS MARKS BUT SIMILAR ONES SEEN ONLINE APPEARS TO BE BACCARAT. (BEFORE THE 1930S, BACCARAT GLASS WAS MARKED WITH A PAPER LABEL THAT WAS OFTEN REMOVED OR LOST OR DAMAGED AFTERWARDS.) PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AND YOU BE THE JUDGE.
IT IS A LARGE 20CM FROSTED AND CLEAR GLASS JUG. IT HAS A FROSTED BODY WITH SOME TEARDROP CLEAR GLASS DROPLETS AROUND THE LOWER HALF. THE SPOUT IS FLUTED IN AN OWL BEAK SHAPE. THE STRONG AND EASY TO GRIP HANDLE APPEARS TO BE ATTACHED AND IS ALSO PARTLY FROSTED. A BEAUTIFUL PIECE THAT WILL STAND OUT AT A DRINKS PARTY.
MARKINGS: NO DEFINITE BACCARAT STICKERS OR ETCHED MARKINGS BUT IT MIGHT BE A PRE 1930S ITEM. Before the 1930s, Baccarat glass was marked with a paper label that contained a circular seal. The seal depicted a decanter with a cup and wine glass on either side. These paper labels were often removed after the item was purchased. Since the 1930s, Baccarat glass has been engraved with the brand name or the logo and brand name.
