Plane is in excellent condition for its age. It must have been used once or twice and then put away for 70+ years.
The box is very worn and basically falling apart, but the yellow crosshatch paper covering used from 1935-1940 is identifiable and the lettering on the label is clear and readable.
There are a few marks on the plane handle and a few spots on the metal but most, if not all, can be removed with cleaning.
