Stanley No. 71 Router Plane With A Difference (Another One)

This is my second such offering.

As per the previous one, the body of the plane has been cleaned up and the handles have been sanded and shellaced.

It is hardly ever that one sees a used No. 71 that does not have chipped or scraped handles. I prefer a more natural wood look and have never understood why Stanley started blackening the handles on the No. 71. Looking at some of the earlier 71's they had handles with a natural wood look and they are far more attractive. I hope enough people share my sentiments to make the bidding interesting.

New 71's came 3 blades a ¼ inch, ½ inch, and a V-shaped cutter. They also came with a depth stop and a fence.

This plane comes with 1 blade (the ¼ inch) and the depth stop.
