Stanley No.71 - Router Plane - Made in England
Excellent used condition, signs of moderate to light use, with age related toning, tarnishing. Overall very good, appears complete, however please see images for further information. Note the forward position for bull- nose work needs a new bolt as it appears to be shorn off as seen in final image below.

This Plane has two positions for the Cutter: the rear position for regular work and the forward position for bull- nose work such as "stopped rebates". When used in the usual rear position, the Cutter is adjustable for depth of cut. The Plane is fitted with a Spur, an Adjustable Fence and an Adjustable Depth Gauge. The Adjustable Fence can be fitted on either side of the Plane.
Rebates are used on window and door frames, for fitting backs into Carcase work and many other applications
