stapelia pillansii

Stapelia pillansii

Medium sized Stapelia with dark green to wine red stems.

Flowers are large with slender, pointy petals, dark, marron-red in colour (a rare yellow flowering form is also known)

This species hails from the Little karoo and has also been found in the southern region of the Tanqua Karoo.

Its a bit more difficult in cultivation then most other Stapelias, and it should be watered carefully.

It flowers in March.

Plants offered are seed grown and are now almost two years old.

They are about 7 cm. in lenght.

(All plants are send bare-root without their pots. This ensures safe arrival, and keeps the weight of the parcel down)
