Star Trek: Enterprise Season 1 Summary (2001-2002): 26 episodes. Set in 2151, 10 years before the Federation. Earths first deep-space mission.
The Setup:
Captain Jonathan Archer commands NX-01 Enterprise, the first human ship capable of Warp 5. No Prime Directive, no Starfleet playbook, no transporters the crew trusts. Vulcans think humans arent ready. The crew is writing the rules as they go.

Archer: Ex-test pilot, hates Vulcans holding humanity back
TPol: Vulcan science officer/observer, assigned by High Command
Trip Tucker: Chief engineer, Archers best friend
Malcolm Reed: Tactical, British, paranoid
Hoshi Sato: Linguist, terrified of space at first

Major Season 1 Arcs:
Broken Bow & First Contact
Ep 1-2 "Broken Bow": Enterprise launches early to return a wounded Klingon to QonoS. They get dragged into the Temporal Cold War factions from the future using the 22nd century as a proxy war. The Suliban are agents of a shadowy future guy. This arc runs all season but rarely resolves.
Human-Vulcan tension
Vulcans dont trust humans. Archer resents them. TPol is caught in the middle. Ep 7 "The Andorian Incident" introduces Shran, an Andorian commander. Andorians hate Vulcans. Archer helps Shran, proving humans can be neutral brokers. Starts a friendship that pays off later.
Figuring out Starfleet tech:
Transporter: Crew hates using it. Ep 10 "Fortunate Son" and others show it malfunctioning
Phase pistols/cannons: They install phase cannons mid-season in "Silent Enemy" because spatial torpedoes suck
Grapplers: Instead of tractor beams
Standout Episodes:
"Dear Doctor" ep 13: Phlox can cure a plague killing one race on a planet, but letting them die would allow another race to evolve. Early Prime Directive debate. Archer chooses not to interfere
"Shuttlepod One" ep 16: Trip & Malcolm think Enterprise was destroyed. Bottle episode, great character work
"Fusion" ep 17: Rogue Vulcans who embrace emotion. TPol gets mind-raped, which causes her emotional issues in later seasons
"Shockwave, Pt 1" ep 26: Season finale. Enterprise is blamed for destroying a colony. The Suliban frame them. Future Guy tells the Suliban to cripple Enterprise. Vulcan High Command orders Archer home. Cliffhanger ends with Enterprise getting recalled and Daniels, the time agent, pulling Archer to the future.
Tone and Themes:
S1 is about optimism mixed with inexperience. They screw up first contact constantly. No universal translator that works well, so Hoshi is crucial. Archer is impulsive compared to Picard/Sisko. The show was trying to be humans in the wild west of space.
Season ends: Enterprise ordered home, future of the mission uncertain.
Condition: all discs play with good picture and sound quality. Some discs have minor scratches. Cover does have some age related wear and tear. Jewell case does have some minor cracks on it. (Note that the pictures forms part of the description, so view carefully to see condition).
