THIS TIE (FOR TWIN ION ENGINE OR GEORGE LUCAS BOW TIE SHAPE) DARTH VADER FIGHTER FEATURES AN OPENING COCKPIT AND A SLIDE OUT ENGINE COVER. DARTH VADER SITS IN THE COCKPIT.
 
Darth Vader's TIE Fighter is the prototype that was used as the basis for all the terrifyingly effective TIE Fighters and Interceptors that would be developed for future Galactic Empire battles. Developed specifically to Darth Vader's specifications, this highly advanced starfighter featured a reinforced spaceframe designed to stand up under the most strenuous battle conditions, as well as a hyperdrive and deflector shields. Lord Vader piloted this dadly ship in the Battel of Yavin, destroying several enemy fighters and nearly bringing down Luke Skywalker, had it not been for a lucky shot by the Millennium Falcon.

GALOOB STAR WARS ACTION FLEET FROM 1995 to 1997:
Lewis Galoob Toys Inc started the Star Wars Action Fleet line in 1995 as a larger, more interactive toy series to their successful Micro Machines from 1987. These included figures and moveable features, such as landing gear and canopies.
In 1998, Hasbro bought out Galoob. Due to the demand from fans, Hasbro in 2002, repackaged the line by re-releasing many old vehicles. However, these versions were more for display purposes as Hasbro upped the price and took out the figures altogether. The line promised much but was canceled before their release.
Nowadays any vintage Lewis Galoob Toys toys are prized by collectors and some continue to be very valuable to this day.
