THIS IS A VINTAGE 1996 STAR WARS GALOOB ACTION FLEET DROID ESCAPE POD.
THIS SNOWSPEEDER FEATURES AN OPENING ESCAPE HATCH. A POSABLE R2-D2 SITS IN THE POD. R2-D2, the iconic Star Wars astromech droid, is more than just a beeping robot. He's a resourceful and brave character who has played a vital role in the Star Wars saga, appearing in all six main Star Wars films. He's also known for his unwavering loyalty to his owners and his ability to fix almost anything, even when it seems impossible.Interestingly a British actor played R2-D2 in the Star Wars films. Kenny Baker, who was only 111cm tall, shot to fame in 1977 when he first played the robot character.
This Star Wars grey Galoob escape pod is part of the original Star Wars Micro Machines collection and featured in the iconic scene from Episode IV A New Hope. This action figure playset is perfect for fans of science fiction and TV, movie, and video games. Don't miss your chance to add this unique and rare collectible to your Star Wars collection.

GALOOB STAR WARS ACTION FLEET FROM 1995 to 1997: Lewis Galoob Toys Inc started the Star Wars Action Fleet line in 1995 as a larger, more interactive toy series to their successful Micro Machines from 1987. These included figures and moveable features, such as landing gear and canopies. In 1998, Hasbro bought out Galoob. Due to the demand from fans, Hasbro in 2002, repackaged the line by re-releasing many old vehicles. However, these versions were more for display purposes as Hasbro upped the price and took out the figures altogether. The line promised much but was canceled before their release. Nowadays any vintage Lewis Galoob Toys toys are prized by collectors and some continue to be very valuable to this day.
