FOR SALE IS A 2005 DARK HORSE STAR WARS X-WING ROGUE LEADER COMIC SERIES COMPLETE WITH NO 1 TO 3. IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. IT WAS KEPT IN A PLASTIC SLEEVE WITH A HARD BACKBOARD FOR ALL THESE YEARS. NOT GRADED BUT THESE COMICS WILL SURELY RECEIVE A HIGH GRADE IF THE BUYER CHOOSE TO HAVE THEM GRADED.
 
STAR WARS X-WING ROGUE LEADER WAS A THREE-PART COMIC BOOK SERIES SET APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK AFTER THE BATTLE OF ENDOR IN RETURN OF THE JEDI. IT WAS PUBLISHED BY DARK HORSE BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 28 AND DECEMBER 21, 2005. ITS A PREQUEL SERIES TO THE X-WING  ROGUE SQUADRON SERIES AND TELLS OF LUKE SKYWALKERS FINAL INVOLVEMENT WITH THE ROGUE SQUADRON.
 
Several participants in the destruction of the second Death Star and the death of the Emperor are sent, a little while after the events of Bakura to scout out Imperial activity in Corellian space. It quickly turns dangerous as Ten Numb is captured by rampaging Imperial Forces. The Rogues' attempt to rescue him comes too late as he does not survive the torture.
 
Rogue Squadron becomes more official as many more officers volunteer in the wake of the rescue attempt. The first assigned mission; to escort a Rebel convoy, turns mysterious when Imperial fighters show up instead. The Rogue squadron pilots must depend on the aid of insurgents who hate them in order to survive.
 
Following the story's resolution, Luke Skywalker explains that he cannot stay with Rogue Squadron as he must focus on building a New Jedi Order.

STAR WARS COMICS:
Star Wars comics have been produced by two main publishers since the debut of the 1977 film. Marvel Comics launched launched its first series in 1977, beginning with a six-issue comic adaptation of the film and running for 107 issues.
Dark Horse Comics published the limited series Dark Empire in 1991, and ultimately produced over 100 Star Wars titles, including Tales of the Jedi (19931998), X-Wing Rogue Squadron (19951998 I have all 3 issues), Republic (19982006), Tales (19992005 - I have 5 Issues), Empire (20022006), Knights of the Old Republic (20062010 - I have 9 Issues), and Legacy (20062010 - I have 9 Issues).
The Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel in 2009 and Lucasfilm in 2012, and the Star Wars comics license returned to Marvel in 2015. Several new series were launched. In 2022, Dark Horse also resumed publishing new Star Wars comics.
