DESICCATOR

A desiccator is an airtight container used to keep materials dry or remove moisture from them. It is commonly used in chemical laboratories to store hygroscopic substances or moisture-sensitive samples, but is equally effective in non-laboratory settings.

Fully functional, can be used virtually immediately upon arrival, after activation of the silica gel.

The silica gel is pink when saturated with moisture (as shipped), so that it is easy to see when it is not active any more. Activation is easily achieved by heating in an oven at 120 - 150 degC for 1-2 hours, when it will turn bright blue and be active again. The process can be repeated over and over as and when needed.
