The quiver tree ( Aloe dichotoma ) is not a tree in the narrower sense of the word, but a succulent the aloes (family Asphodelaceae ) should. The aloes is an African genus of succulents or succulents which only a few trees can be cut. The quiver tree found in desert and halfwoestyngebide in the arid north-east of the Karoo in South Africa (among others at Brandvlei ) and the south of Namibia , including the Garden of the Gods at Keetmanshoop .

These trees are small with a distinctive thick trunk and a dense, rounded crown.
