Stellavox SP7 Professional Reel to Reel Portable Tape Recorder

Stellavox SP7 Reel to reel tape machine. Body and chassis in very good condition, and well looked after. It was used in the 1970's and 80's by a well-known bird call recordist to obtain a ground-breaking collection of calls. Mechanically in good working order, but occasionally needs coaxing to start playing. Once playing runs well without any issues. There is an occasional delay to release the heads when engaging rewind, but it always engages after a few seconds or if  the operation is repeated.  This machine was recently used to digitise approximately 40 original reel tapes of bird recordings for Birdlife South Africa. Case included and also digitising cable which transfers the audio signal from "Diode"  to PC (3.5mm plug). I am happy to provide additional photographs.
