About the Author
Althea Wilson is a British artist and designer known for her innovative use of colour and pattern. Educated in England, she spent her early years in Nigeria, where her first exhibition of paintings was held in Lagos. Returning to the U.K., she became an antique dealer and specialist in the restoration of painted and lacquered furniture. Since moving to London in 1985, her gallery and home have been widely featured in publications such as The World of Interiors and The Fabric Decorator.
Her prior book, Paint Works, explored the creative potential of surface design in domestic interiors. In Stencil Genius, she consolidates her standing as one of the most imaginative decorative artists of her generation.
