This LTC1871 Adjustable boost convert is handy and beginner friendly as it allows you to step up or boost the voltage when you are in need of power supply.

Comes with 3 digits 7-segment display to show the Vin or Vout (configurable via push button), you do not need a multimeter to measure the input or output voltage. With the built-in multi-turn (high precision) potentiometer/variable resistor/adjustable resistor, you can easily adjust the output voltage (step up) with a flat screw driver. You can also calibrate the output voltage to match a multimeter by pressing and holding the OUT button.
