The is an unusual piece, and Im not certain if it was purely decorative as an ornament, or perhaps a little vase, maybe useful for serving condiments, or perhaps even an inkwell.
It measures 4cm at its base, stands 6cm tall, and weighs just under 40g (39.9g).
Its a dainty little sterling silver piece with lots of character. The hallmarks are a little rubbed, but from what I can tell its dated 1916, London. The maker is likely William Deakin & Son.
