Sterling Silver, Garnet and Marcasite Drop Earrings
The large, modern, sterling silver drop earrings have pins and butterflies. Each earring has a marcasite-studded downcomer element with a claw-set, oval-cut, garnet (2.8mm x 2.4mm - circa 0.2ct each) at the end. The downcomer supports a pendant made up of two interlocking, open, silver ovals. The ovals are marcasite-studded and there is a fixed claw-set, round-cut (circa 2.4mm diameter c. 0.15ct each) at the top, plus two pendant, claw-set, oval-cut garnets (approximately 5.8mm x 5.0mm circa 0.8ct each; and 7.8mm x 5.9mm circa 1.3ct each, respectively) hanging in the open spaces within the loops. The earrings and butterflies are marked 925. The garnets are all laboratory grown.
