LDO Voltage Regulator Adjustable/Fixed, 4.25V to 30Vin, 1.3V drop,1.8/2.5/3.3/5V, 3Aout, TO-220-3Product OverviewThe LD1085V is a low-drop Voltage Regulator able to provide up to 3A of outputcurrent. Dropout is guaranteed at a maximum of 1.2V at the maximum outputcurrent, decreasing at lower loads. The LD1085 is pin-to-pin compatible with theolder 3-terminal adjustable regulator, but offers better performance in terms ofdrop and output tolerance. Unlike PNP regulator, where a part of the outputcurrent is wasted as quiescent current, the LD1085 quiescent current flows intothe load and thus increase efficiency. Only a 10µF minimum capacitor is need forstability.
