Fixed LDO Voltage Regulator, 8V to 30V, 1.3V Dropout, 5Vout, 3Aout, TO-220-3Product OverviewThe LD1085V50 is an adjustable and fixed low drop Positive Voltage Regulatorable to provide up to 3A of output current. Dropout is guaranteed at a maximumof 1.2V at the maximum output current, decreasing at lower loads. This ispin-to-pin compatible with the older 3-terminal adjustable regulator, but offersbetter performance in terms of drop and output tolerance. Unlike PNP regulator,where a part of the output current is wasted as quiescent current, the quiescentcurrent flows into the load and thus increases efficiency.
