Stocks Dwarf Ten Week Mix – Matthiola incana
Annual
Stocks are easy to grow and are compact and bushy plants. They have large, showy flower spikes with a glorious fragrance. The wide range of flower colours make them excellent garden varieties and will brighten up your winter garden. Plant in seedling trays from mid-summer to early autumn. (see our plastic seedling trays). Make sure soil in trays is soft and friable by adding sand. or similar. Protect seedlings from very harsh sun and heat.
Prefers a moist, well drained soil. Plant out in full sun or part shade. Allow 30cm between each plant. Don't overwater or the plants roots will rot. Liquid manure will keep the plants moving and increase size of flower. Will grow to approx. 35cm.
