STRIKING RUBY AND STERLING SILVER RING

This modern piece is rather unusual. A sum of two halves, this sterling silver ring has a plain shank that starts off narrowed at the bottom flaring quickly to the ring head. Different details on the shoulders lead up to the meeting point on the wide (18mm) top of the ring. One side has six silver strands extending from the shoulder. The middle four strands have a distinct and tactile texture into which 12 rubies are claw set. The other side also has 6 silver strands, which interlace at the top of the ring head. They are finished with a sleek unbrushed and untextured sheen - and feature 3 rubies that are bezel set between the fingers. The 15 round-cut cherry coloured rubies are Africa mined and jeweller authenticated. The '925' hallmark indicating sterling silver is engraved on the inside. The ring lies nice and flat on the finger.
