HAND-CRAFTED SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND BROAD SHANK 9ct GOLD RING. A HEAVY 7,1g!
A particularly large and striking piece, the checkerboard effect of alternating sapphires and gold is eyecatching! The ring head is wide at 21mm across; the 35 round-cut sapphires (1,6 carats in total) of various beautiful deep blue hues, are between 2,3mm and 2,5mm each, creating a strong geometric design with the brightness of yellow gold in between. An ellipse of diamonds curves softly on each shoulder, 5 x 1mm round-cut diamonds on each side, bracketing the ring head and providing a glittering contrast to the checkerboard. The head is softly dome-shaped, and smooth to the touch. Heavy at 7,1 grams, the heavy gold content around the ring head continues to the thick gold shank, which narrows as the back for comfort. A gorgeous and unusual ring that will appeal to someone who loves their rings bold! An independent jeweller certificate for R18'188 will accompany the ring.
The ring bears the hallmark '375' for 9ct yellow gold, the Birmingham import assay, the jeweller's signature and the date 1998.
