VINTAGE OVAL BALTIC AMBER STERLING SILVER RING WITH DETAILED SHOULDERS. 925

This vintage handcrafted sterling silver ring features an oval cut cabochon bezel set horizontally across the ring head. The Baltic amber is the colour of new honey, with fascinating inclusions adding depth and interest to the gemstone. The ring head is a good size without being overly chunky, measuring 14mm across x 11mm wide and reaches 8mm above the finger! The cabochon is set in quite a deep sterling silver bezel, the shoulders dropping away from the ring head with ridged steps that end where they join the narrow sterling silver shank. The piece weighs 2.94 grams and bears the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver as well as the authentication listed nubmer of V-8. The  ring is vintage and there are some buff marks on the metal but the amber is in excellent condition. Judginng by the hallmark, an interesting collectable piece.
