Sometimes less is more. This strong and striking piece of jewellery was carried back personally from Taxco de Alarcon, a town southwest of Mexico City, famed for its handcrafted silver jewellery. The simple design is unusual - 5 bars, evenly spaced, running from the shortest on the sides to the longest in the middle, (almost picket fence-like) on a shank that is made of two of the same thickness bars that touch below the finger and widen to support the ring head on the top of the finger. The hallmark '925' appears, for genuine sterling silver and at just under 8 grams, it is a heavy piece. It stretches 22 mm up the finger making it a very noticeable piece. Striking on the hand, its' simplicity of design is its' strength. Less is more, indeed!
