UNUSUAL TURQUOISE AND RUBY STERLING SILVER RING. 925. BEAUTIFULLY MADE LARGE DOMED PIECE

This eye-catching piece features 6 rectangular turquoise cabochons that are pointed top and bottom, bezel set in sterling silver. Softly domed, the opaque gemstones are a bright clean blue, contrasting with the silver pebbled borders, and accented by small round cut pinkish red natural rubies - 8 of them - at the top and bottom corners of the 4 inner turquoises. The top and bottom borders of the ring head are jagged, with an almost crown-like shape. The sterling silver shank is slightly narrower at the back, but is a broad band design, with the ring head reaching well down the shoulders. Its a large piece on the finger - definitely showy! Measuring 22mm wide x 20mm long, the ring weighs a hefty 8.24 grams. Its a vintage piece but is in good condition. The stones are well set with very little sign of wear and tear. The silver shank has buff marks in keeping with its age. The ring bears the jeweller's signature and the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver. An unusual, bold piece.
