How to re-tape type hair extensions:
Remove old glue from each tape hairpiece by rubbing the sticky tape part with a cotton ball & tape remover(acetone free nail remover) until the sticky tape slide out. Clean any sticky residue on the removed tape extensions. Cut a new strip of tape the width of each hairpiece & apply over the sticky side of the old tape part of the extensions(not on both sides). Do not remove the paper protection on top until all the hairpieces has been re-taped. Now take each re-taped extension with the paper seal still on and quickly press each hairpiece on the tape in a ceramic hair straightener only for 1 seconds(this will bond the new tape with the hairpiece).Now the new re-taped extensions is ready to be applied. If you create your own tape extensions apply a strip of tape as the width of the weft hairpiece. If you use clip on extensions remove the clips attachment on the hairpieces first before applying the tape
How to apply Tape hair extensions:
1.Starting from the bottom of the head determine the amount of hair pieces that will fit next to each other into the first row with at least a space of 1cm between each strand. 2. using a steel pen comb take up a thin strand of hair the width of the tape extension to be applied. 3.Now remove the paper seal from the tape and apply the sticky side below the strand of hair 0.5-1cm away from the scalp and press. 4. Remove any excess hairs that would not stick with the steel pen comb then apply another tape extension with the sticky side exactly on top of the same strand with the bottom tape to create a sandwich. So both tape extensions have their sticky side facing each other and stick to the strand of hair in the middle. 5. Now press the sandwich on the tape part in a ceramic hair straightener quickly only for 2 seconds(this will bond the glue to the strand of hair). Do not slide the straightener just press otherwise the warm glue will move and slide the hairpiece. 6. Depending on the hair volume, begin the next row at least 1cm or more above the first row. 7. Repeat all the above steps for the entire head until the desired effect usually 30-40 small extensions is needed. If you prefer to tape one or 2 wide pieces of hair extensions then it need not to be applied the sandwich method.
Care Instruction:1. Apply to clean preferably unconditioned hair.2.Do not wash hair for at least 36 hours after application.3. The tapes can also be pressed with a flat iron every other day for a long lasting effect.
