Magnificent and pure solid wood. Overwhelming piece. Solid brass

handle

Pedestal/small cabinet measures height approximately 70 cm

this is from the back including that piece. Width is 42.5cm and

the length is 43.5cm

There is no key to the lock: please see my note at end

slight ring on top (this is a close up)

reverse side of piece. In lovely condition. Light piece is sticker. See

next photo

Provenance of piece Coetzee Broers Edms Beperk

and dated 1960!!!!! SUPER

Underside of item. All solid. Forgot to photo inside I will update in

the next day or so!

Interior of pedestal

Please note that a tiny sliver of the wood upper door and a small

piece at the bottom have broken off. Not overtly noticeable but

mentioning in case you have not observed in the photos. Does

not detract from stunning piece

Ball and claw

Collection in the Fourways Jo'burg area (I do not think it can be posted)

The key as mentioned is missing. The lock and key are what kept the cabinet door

closed. It sits slightly ajar. I propose to the winning bidder (included in the bid)

that 1) we change the lock.....the key however may turn out to be larger than

the original and the originality of the piece will change

or 2) we put the male and female item in the cabinet that will keep the door shut (do

not know what they are called and hope you know what I mean. Experts can jump in

and let us know the name!)
