Stunning Aubergene And Blue Controlled Bubble Ashtray - Bought as a rare Whitefriars Ashtray

 STUNNING UNMARKED ART GLASS ASHTRAY

This stunning ashtray with controlled bubbles in the glass was blown in two colours, Aubergine & Blue. It was sold to me as a 'Rare James Powell & Sons - Whitefriars' and I would certainly go along with the 'rare' aspect of it, as I am unable to find anything accurately similar. The closest I actually got to the style/shape was actually a Murano. Being unmarked it would be very difficult to stick my neck out and claim it as a Whitefriars or Murano but I can say, it very definitely is a quality piece of stunning art work. The closest resemblances I could find were all asking a lot of money, most well in excess of R1000 and personally I did not think they were as nice as this ashtray.

The ashtray is approximately 135mm x 135mm x 52mm high and weighs in at 800g.

CONDITION: This is a lovely glass piece with no chips or cracks in the glass. There is minimal age related wear & tear but it does have some surfaces scratches particularly around the base which should be expected. Overall, it is in very good condition.
