Beautiful blue tanzanite was discovered in Tanzania, Africa, in the late 1960s.  Its brilliant color and exclusive origin in Tanzania combine to make tanzanite a very unique, rare gemstone, and with such a limited supply, it's also highly prized and highly valued.

 I will be away in the Caprivi strip 29 March to 8 April and will not be able to answer questions or post gems during this time, my apologies for any inconvenence.
