The House was built in 1903 and has been beautifully restored, retaining its wooden floors and pressed ceilings, as well as a grand sweeping staircase that offers a fine view of Table Mountain and wide wrap-around verandahs from where you can relax and admire views of the city.
Each of our six spacious double rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished with antique or classic furniture. Plenty of natural light pours into the rooms, and the airy feel brings comfort in summer, while rugs and heaters make them cozy in winter. Centrally situated in the suburb of Oranjezicht, the guest house sits beneath Table Mountain and is less than 10 minutes drive from Cape Town city centre. It is also within easy reach of Camps Bay and the beach. A shopping mall, banks, movie house and wide variety of restaurants are all found nearby and access to the main arterial routes of the city is also effortless. Esperanza also benefits from plenty of open space in its environs, including a park and reservoir, affording clear views and a sense of spaciousness right in the heart of Cape Town.
