An outstandingly beautiful demitasse duo in thin porcelain, decorated with yellow roses and richly gilded. The handle is most unusual and attractive!

I've been unable to identify the backstamp, but the type of porcelain is reminiscent of oriental porcelain. If so, the back stamp could be an imperial eagle from Japan during the interwar period.

It is in excellent used condition with no chips, cracks or grazing and with the gilding intact.

Dimensions -- cup: 5.9cm D x 3.7cm H and saucer: 10.7cm D x 1.2cm H.
