A stunning example of renowned Bitossi ceramics, this horse statue is of a generous size and makes a stunning addition to the contempory home of today. The piece has a matt charcoal base with their signature orangy-red glaze. In excellent condition with no chips, see photos for details.

Some history of Aldo Londi:

Londi was born in Montelupo Tuscany in 1911, and started working for a ceramics manufacturer when he was 11 years old, leaving the company to fight in World War II. After being taken prisoner in South Africa during the war, he returned to Italy and in 1946 was appointed artistic director at Bitossi. He held that position for over 50 years.
