STUNNING LARGE TANZANITE AND SAPPHIRE STERLING

This stunning tanzanite ring is unusual in design. It lies long and elegant on the finger, big enough to be somewhat of a conversation-piece but refined and well design so that it sits comfortably on the finger and doesn't feel hefty or unwieldy. Crafted in sterling silver, the piece features an elongated diamond shape created by 9 x marquise-faceted tanzanites in a strong lilac colour, claw set vertically, slightly domed on the surface of the 28mm long x 15mm wide ring head. A simple medium sterling silver shank widens dramatically quite low on the shoulders, creating a broad base to hold the length of the tanzanites, using openwork to create interest and detail. 16 x small round cut black sapphires are claw set amongst the lace-like detailing. The edging of the ring head has curlicues surrounding the elongated claws that hold the tanzanites a splendid 8mm above the finger. The piece weighs 8,5 grams and bears the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver. Beautiful colours and definitely a striking piece!
