THE WAYFARER WAS A TRACTION ENGINE MADE BY JOHN FOWLER & COMPANY IN 1920

there are lots of different makes of traction engines, but the one that has been designed the best, the most powerful and the best looking has to be a "FOWLER".
The man John Fowler was born on 11th july 1826, his father was a wealthy quaker merchant, of melksham in wiltshire. John was one of 6 children in the Fowler family . In 1885 john commenced his experiments in applying steam power to land cultivation. His business called JOHN FOWLER & Co (LEEDS) LTD.
