UNUSUAL CONTEMPORARY DESIGN DOUBLE LOOP BYPASS MEXICAN STERLING SILVER RING. 925. HEAVY.

This lovely piece is an example of less is more. The simple design speaks for itself - a double strand sterling silver shank flattens as it reaches the shoulders and curves over the finger. It loops back on itself, creating a teardrop shaped openwork before continuing under the finger as a double strand. This then repeats itself on the other side, creating the bypass design on the ring head. This ring was brought back in a personal consignment from Taxco de Alarcon, a town southwest of Mexico City, famed for its handcrafted silver jewellery. Beautifully made, this heavy piece is in good condition, with some light buff marks. The ring bears the 925 hall mark indicating sterling silver and the Mexico mark. Mexican silver is particularly bright and white. Please note the large ring size. Although a "minimal fuss" ring, it is really solid and heavy at 8,15 grams.
