William Gallimore & Sons = 1892..1930  = registered May 1892.

ARUNDEL WORKS , SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND.

Hallmarks as follows:

Makers mark "W G & S" = Sheffield Crown = Lion Passant = Date Letter "M" for 1904.

 

DIMENSIONS:

 117mm long x 16mm deepest x 40mm widest.

Weight = 35.9 grams.


W G & S type of items manufactured:

Flatware, knife blade, knife rest, spoons.


Good condition!!! Has some very light usage wear as to be expected. Shown in the images.

Some history....... 


William Gallimore & Co active at 17-19 Arundel St, Sheffield (1863-1891). Succeeded to William Gallimore, 42 School Croft, Sheffield, who started electroplating in 1858. In 1891 the firm became William Gallimore & Sons until 1927 (transformed in Ltd in 1923).  The firm used the trade mark NORWEGIAN SILVER.
