Artists depicted include Frans Oerder, Hugo Naude, Peter Wenning, J.H. Pierneef, Stratt Caldecott, Erik Laubser, Irma Stern, Gerard Sekoto, Alfred Krenz, W.H. Coetzer, Jean Welz, Maud Sumner, Maurice van Essche, Walter Battiss, Bettie Cilliers-Barnard, Christo Coetzee, Lionel Abrahams and George Boys.

Cape Town & Pretoria: Human & Rousseau, 1966. Hardcover with dust jacket, very large format (36 x 28cm), 15 numbered pages followed by 133 pages of plates and illustrations, index. Heavy book.  

Book in good condition with former owner’s name in ink on the first end paper; dustjacket has much shelf wear and some tiny losses to the top and bottom, especially at the spine.
