 SUMPTUOUS NATURAL PINK FRESHWATER PEARL AND BLUE SAPPHIRE GEMSTONE STERLING SILVER NECKLACE

This lustrous piece has a rich elegance; the triple strand 100% natural pink pearls forming the necklace are a perfect foil for the oval faceted claw set blue sapphires that are the focal point of the piece. The necklace closes at the back with a large heavy sterling silver hook and eye. The "pendant" is a feature piece that lies a little lower than half way down the the triple strand of pearls. When you wear the necklace, the sapphire feature piece sits a little lower than your collar bone, to one side.  Set in sterling silver, there is an interesting and unexpected contrast between the organic softness of the pearls and the geometric shapes in the feature pendant piece. The sapphire gemstones used are a strong blue, contrasting with the icy sparkle of the cubic zirconias that stud the geometric shapes. The sapphires are very natural, fairly solidly included and with the most beautiful bright royal blue of colours. The whole necklace is a substantial and heavy piece, weighing in at 111 gram!. The weight helps ensure that the necklace hangs nice and flat against the chest, displaying the pearls and the gemstones at their best. The jewelled pendant measures 31mm wide x 28mm long and the chain of pearls is adjustable - 55,5cm at its longest, and 50cm at its shortest. Its a beautiful and special piece with a good quality feel to it, the gentle pinks of the pearls and the bright blue of the sapphires providing a most unusual and eye-catching display.
