Sun Stove Large
The large stove can boil 1 litre of water in 10 to 15 minutes. Some people prefer a large sunstove because it is hotter, and cooks faster.
This solar cooker is a reflective parabolic dish that concentrates sunlight onto a pot in the middle of the cooker. It can be used to cook, bake and even fry foods. Rice, stews, porridge, fried dishes, bread bakes and even braai on a grill! With the Sun Stove there is surprisingly little difference to normal stove cooking.
Different sizes are available for different needs, with the larger models being more powerful. It can bring 1 litre of water to the boil in 10 minutes, and reach temperatures of over 200 degrees C.
Instructions
1. First feel with your hand where the hotspot is, over the ring.
2. Move the ring higher or lower, so that the hot spot will be at the bottom of the pot.
3. Put pot on holder ring.
4. Set sun focus to a bright 'dot' under the pot.
Now you have a device exactly like an electric stove. It can boil 1 litre of water in 10 - 15 minutes, without any electricity.
Warning!
Don't look at the bright dot without wearing sunglasses. Always wear sunglasses and oven gloves while cooking.
