Superb art nouveau canteen of cutlery

A beautiful and highly decorative canteen of silver plated cutlery in an art nouveau pattern. Most pieces have 12, although it is effectively a canteen for 8. The silver plated pieces are marked WP & Co SP on C alloy, the knives are marked Ferd Esser & Co Solingen. The 78 pieces show German quality and are in coof condition. Minor areas of plate wear do not detract. There are 12 table knives (24cm); 7 dessert knives (22cm); 12 table spoons (21cm); 10 table forks (21cm); 12 dessert spoons (18cm); 8 dessert forks (18cm); 12 teaspoons (13cm); 4 large serving spoons (24cm); a carving knife (27.5cm) and sharpening steel (29.5cm).
