This is arguably the best finished fall front desk I’ve come across, executed in a dark, brooding oak, it is seamless and flawless perfection from every angle and side. The clean and simple lines of the exterior, belie the wonderful detail within. Opening the fall, reveals a veritable cave of wonders within the desk cavity itself. The interior of this desk has 6 exquisitely contoured and finished drawers of various sizes. The centerpiece is a deep cabinet. Bracketing the cabinet on either side, the features that appear to be mock book spines, are actually 2 secret compartments, for concealing precious items or documents. Immediately below the fall, there are 2 usefully sized drawers. Standing on sturdy Queen Anne Cabriole type legs and feet, this piece is 103 cm tall, 75 cm wide, and 42.5 cm deep. The condition is immaculate – as fresh and unblemished as the day it was made.
