Survival Kit GREEN

A Survival Kit is a device or a pack used to provide a person with essential supplies during an emergency. They are commonly used by members of the armed forces, or civilians who are preparing for natural disasters which can range from earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes to manmade disasters.

This kit has been put together based on personal experience. All items have been tried and tested in field situations.

Please note, there is a huge difference between a survival kit and a bug out bag. 

During an emergency you can easily get separated from your camping gear or bug out equipment, and then you have a real problem. I have seen baboons stealing backpacks and other equipment. I have seen a guy that had to abandon his whole pack after he fell in a river. If he kept it on his back he would have drowned. That is why a survival kit should be kept as a backup on your belt or in your pocket. IT is NOT intended for everyday use. It is for EMERGENCY ONLY, something to help you survive until help arrive or until you can self rescue.  As a former survival instructor I can also guarantee you that most of the small kits you buy off the shelf will not help you at all as it is nice to have gadgets, but not survival essentials.
