Book signed by the author (Sedick Isaacs)

Isaacs spent 12 years on Robben Island, where he dedicated himself to escaping and, as a result, spent more time in solitary confinement than any other prisoner on the island. He was also assaulted, thrown naked in a cell, strapped to a wooden frame and flogged for trying to incapacitate the island's water supply. When he was released from prison he was not allowed to do any work, so he sold eggs from door-to-door to make ends meet. While on the island, he completed  4 degrees. He had a BSc in Chemistry before his incarceration and started teaching after his release. He also obtained a PhD at UCT, as well as a PhD at Marburg in Germany.

A remarkable man indeed
