Susie Cooper China was one of the most successful and prolific designers that the UK ceramic industry has ever seen.
Her career spanned from 1902 to 1995 and covered some of the most recognisable periods of the Twentieth Century. 
In October 1929, having left Grays Pottery earlier in the year, Susie Cooper established the Susie Cooper Pottery. 
Like the Potteries-based ceramic designers Clarice Cliff and Charlotte Rhead, her work has become highly sought after and valued by some pottery collectors.
Her work in the Art Deco style, with bold, geometric patterns and bright colours, is the most popular amongst collectors.
