        First Edition, J. M. Dent, 1951, Hardback - Travel - 235 pp.
The writer relates his journeys around County Cork and parts of Kerry in 1949 telling of the places, people, and events he meets with with from pubs and shops to the mountains and countryside. Illustrated with engravings by the author.
Gibbings is often described as having been larger than life, a colourful and adventurous character but he was also responsible, perhaps more than anyone else, for bringing the art of wood-engraving to the attention of the general public.
