This sword appears to have an age to it. One was sold on Bid or Buy in 2014 for R4500.

Worthpoint, the auctioneers have a similar one on offer and describe it as follows: Dutch East India navel sword that was apparently issued to officers of VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie) Java Island.

Shaver Cool is possibly the ships name.

I cannot guarantee the authenticity and the sword is being sold as is

.There has been a lot of discussion on the internet on this item.

The lower part of the scabbard has seen wear and tear and is hanging on by a thread!
