Tabebuia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Bignoniaceae. The common name "roble" is sometimes found in English. Tabebuias have been called "trumpet trees", but this name is usually applied to other trees and has become a source of confusion and misidentification. Tabebuia consists almost entirely of trees, but a few are often large shrubs.

A few species produce timber, but the genus is mostly known for those that are cultivated as flowering trees. Tabebuia is native to the American tropics and subtropics from Mexico and the Caribbean to Argentina. Most of the species are from Cuba and Hispaniola. It is commonly cultivated and often naturalized or adventive beyond its natural range.

Tabebuia chrysotricha, commonly known as the Golden Trumpet Tree, is an evergreen tree from Brazil. It is very similar to and often confused with Tabebuia ochracea. In Portuguese it is called "ipe amarelo" and is considered the national tree of Brazil. T. chrisotricha grows to a height of 7.5m to 10m, with a spread of 7.5m to 10m. It has very showy golden-yellow to red flowers in the spring.

These are rich in nectar and thus the tree is a useful honey plant which attracts bees. While it is not especially popular with hummingbirds, some of these - e.g. glittering-bellied emerald (Chlorostilbon lucidus) and white-throated hummingbird (Leucochloris albicollis) - seem to prefer them over the flowers of other Tabebuia species. The golden trumpet tree is grown outside Brazil as a street tree and garden tree. The USDA rates it for hardiness zones 10 through 11, and moderately drought-tolerant.
