Table lamp, brass with marble base - heavy vintage

An unusual heavy table lamp with orate metal work.  It works with a globe but has no shade.  On the bayonet fitting is a stamp into the metal which says made in England and an R in a square shape.  The base under the lamp is cast iron.  The flat section above the base appears to be marble.  The bulbous area is brass and looks as if it could have been for oil or paraffin?   I dont know if it was converted?   An unusual attractive piece.      Please note that due to the size and weight.    Postnet to Postnet will be R150.00   Pargo will remain the same at R75.00
