The weight of these rounds vary from 93.5 ~ 94.9 gr - 94.2gr being the median weight in our observation.
We strove to come up w/ the hardest hitting round for the HDR50, following popular demand, so we came up w/ these - 11mm steel shot w/in a plastic sabot. These fit firmly into the magazine (via the front / rachet face) and presses out readily to the rear. They fit snug and the reason for this is that is, w/ an HDR50 carried vertically in a holster, especially when running w/ a heavier loaded projectile, is that they can slip downward from the running locomotion and, when you need to utilize your resolver, the magazine will jam / refuse to rotate. In some cases, looser-fitting ammunition (like shot) on seasoned magazines may drop straight out the barrel, resulting in an feigned discharge. Not so w/ these slugs, as their barrel shape, allows for more contact area w/ the magazine.
These are unfortunately not self-rifling, as there's nothing on the cross-section to really accomodate grooves with. Nonetheless, large watermelon sized targets at up to 20m's away w/ these slugs, are in for a surprise!
Also note that, we STRONGLY recommend having your HDR50's power upgraded to 16J in order to properly shoot these.
These are steel shot, not leaded FMJ's - These would penetrate better than lead in the same diameter, weight and velocity would.
These shoot LOUDLY and you can expect a faint amount of recoil when discharging these from your upgraded HDR50, which in itself, is a fun experience too, haha.
a Video on these slugs will be uploaded in due time.
Otherwise, feel free to enjoy these slugs!
